Burglar says TV taught him his craft

RICHMOND, Ky. - A man who says he learned how to rob homes by watching a TV show was sentenced to 12 years in prison for a string of burglaries in central Kentucky.

Michael W. Hobbs, 36, of Waco, Ky., pleaded guilty to five counts of burglary. He was sentenced Thursday.

Police said Hobbs learned how to break into homes by watching the Discovery Channel TV show "It Takes a Thief." The show features two ex-convicts who show property owners how vulnerable they are to theft.

Police Maj. Steve Gregg said the ex-cons on the show say skilled burglars typically don't keep stolen items.

"He didn't hold onto any of the property," Gregg said of Hobbs. "He had no physical evidence at his residence whatsoever. When we entered a couple times, he said, 'Come on in, look around. I've done nothing.'"

But Gregg said Hobbs always showed up at the burglary sites.

"He was one of the type of people who would come to the door and ask if (the homeowner) needed any gutter help," Gregg said. "Then the houses around there would get burglarized. That's just not coincidental."

toluene smells great. its aromatic. so it smells. but its really bad. really. hurts sinuses. frontal sinus, sphenoid sinuses. all the sinuses. apparently, chose the wrong unknown in ochem lab. because we really knew which one we were supposed to choose. so find that unknown can only disolve in toluene. but thats a pinch of unknown in a few mL of toluene. then we need to dissolve a gram. cant dissolve! sighsigh. TA says choose a better unknown. lolol. hes from china. he's really cool. but he hasn't graded anything yet. so i cant assume anything yet.

i am way too allergic to mosquito bites. its like. crazy swelling. stupid mosquitoes. finger is hurting. really problematic. and when i went to taiwan, it wasn't this bad! the mosquitoes there are like much worse. my body is like getting worse. the more mosquito bites i get, the worse the reaction is. sigh.

i always get killed by mosquitoes. annoying, wish they would all die. they dont even benefit any part of the environment. like ants are annoying, but they clean up junk. spiders are annoying, but they kill other bugs. mosquitoes just suck blood and reproduce. so useless.

so. physics textbooks. last semester i took physics 1. so it used volume 1 of this collection of books. it was 7th edition. then there was summer. and then back to school. this semester taking physics 2. so it continues the collection and uses volume 2. too bad part of the edition changed, so now its 8th edition. its annoying, because some of this class uses the end of volume 1. so now its all different! wowow. annoying. oh well. i get two different covers. they look cool.
