recently, i've been having no dreams at all. i guess that is a good thing. but it makes sleep kind of boring. with dreams, it's like going to the movies. and sometimes being an active participant. but now, it is all darkness. maybe the show ended. i always enter too late. need to get to the cinemas earlier. or catch a later show.

someone on facebook posted a video of khalil fong. so i searched him up in wikipedia. he speaks hawaii pidgin english also, so i clicked on that. then i decided to learn about pidgin in general. then went to chinese pidgin english. apparently the phrases "long time no see", "no can do", "no-go", and "where to?" are from chinese. that's weird. english language influence by chinese.

are americans getting fatter or am i just getting smaller? i used to buy size large clothes in high school. maybe because it was cool to have larger clothes back then, but then in college i started wearing medium because it fit better. and now this year, i need to buy some "business casual" clothes and i'm fitting in small. huh.

book says "more than 90% of people experiment headache at some time during their lives." i thought it would be so much closer to 100%. that means one out of ten won't ever feel a headache! what a lucky person! i wish i was like that. or maybe, those 1/10 people were ones that lived for a few days. so their entire life was too short to have the headache of life. that's my headache right now. life.

so apparently if you break down the word "sympathy" down to its roots. it becomes sym-path-y. sym- means "together or with", path means "disease", and -y means "condition or process of." so sympathy means the condition of being together with disease. let's be diseased together. have sympathy.

i don't like some of things of this new laptop that the school forced us to buy. one of the things is that it is lenovo. and lenovo bought ibm. and ibm had those annoying red ball thing in the middle of the keyboard with a few buttons on the bottom. that annoys the hell out of me. because that red ball gets in the way of my fingers. i don't lift my fingers very high when i type because it is a waste of energy. i just drag across the keyboard to the correct key. but now there is a stupid ball in the way! ugh. also the buttons on the bottom are so close to spacebar, i always press spacebar instead. since it is a new computer, i need to install updates and lots of software, and by default the selection is on cancel, so spacebar and bam! canceled the update. start over. and typing this, i hit the red ball a few times. my mouse flew around the screen, distracting me. and this keyboard is too small.

so i bought something online. it was shipped by fedex and estimated to arrive tomorrow. however, i used tracking on friday and saw it was in my city! so yay, it might be arriving soon! turns out not. today, i check and it says "package not due for delivery." wow be more useless. ship it so early and just let it sit there because it's not the estimated delivery day.

about china's censorship on the australian film festival, because it showed a film that was about some uighur person, and china is currently having dis-harmonious issues with them.

GIRL'S ROCK EXPLOSION concert!

was a free concert at japantown in san francisco. they had a new building, so they got japanese indie bands to come play. well, short sets, about 30 minutes each. the real concert is tomorrow, but that costs money, and i'm too cheap. but exciting show. lots of energy.

what really confuses me is 紅茶 (hong cha) which means red tea. its the common tea in taiwan. it's the stuff they add milk to to make the pearl milk tea stuff (wowowow weird, with two to's. [wowow rhymes!]). anyways, when this magical tea is translated to english, it becomes black tea. when hong clearly means red. so it confuses me. it's like someone learned the wrong colors when some english person was learning chinese or a chinese person was learning english.

i had a dream in which i went to buy an utada hikaru cd. however, i ended up with a koda kumi cd. it was the weirdest dream. anyways, i learned that when you buy a cd, you should check the cover to make sure you have the correct cd. you'll be very sad if you don't.

went fishing today. caught no fish. these 3 people caught hundreds of fish, each, with no bait. makes me feel disappointed. they had pro fish hooks. everyone else was just there with nothing. then the pelicans came and ate everything. people were sent out to drive out on boats to chase away the pelicans. such is life.

uh, so i was reading about the flat earth society, then i went to read about the roswell ufo incident, because they both believe in conspiracy stuff. anyways, as i was reading the roswell stuff, my monitor flickered 2 times. eh. either my computer is dying. or i'm going to die soon. that's weird.

if something is "indescribable," isn't it already described? so it is a contradiction. or does indescribable mean "not describable except as indescribable." but then that leads to a recursive function and keeps calling upon itself and never terminates!

anyways, "indescribable" is a weird word. it has bable at the end.

it's really annoying if i type something here and then decide not to post it, i just close the window. but then blogger has this auto save as a draft. so it still saves it, but doesn't publish and it takes up space and i don't like it. blah blah blah.

this guy sent me a friend request on facebook. he said he went to the same middle school as me, which could be true. but he was a year older than me, so i don't remember him, if i even ever knew him. anyways, i looked through his friends and saw so many of the people that were one year older than me that i knew, but weren't friends with. anyways, it's pretty crazy that some joined the army and stuff. others are in graduate schools now. and others, i have no idea. facebook stalking is great. too bad i didn't know the guy that tried to friend me. i rejected the request.

i like how the character for medicine/drug in chinese is 藥. on the top it is 艹, which is the radical for grass, on the bottom is 樂, which is happiness. what a grassy happiness.

so china has at least 2000 uighurs detained. the leader of the uighurs (rebiya kadeer) says 10000 uighurs are missing. i guess we should average them, because both sides are extremes. the average is 6000. whatever the number, it's bad.

anyways, the taiwanese metal band chthonic made a new song. the music video is really controversial because they burned a kuomintang flag. the scene was only for a second, but wowow, they are really green (pro-independence, not saving the world's resources). cause controversy.

oh yea, and they also cut off chiang kai shek's head. wow.

too bad i really don't like chthonic's vocals. the erhu in the loud rock is great though.
